Meet at 9.30 am. The morning will start with Sailing fun for everyone, so please come along and have a go!
In the afternoon, with a falling tide for those who want to have a go at windsurfing, come and have a try with lessons being offered.
In the late afternoon, Clive Briggs would also like to walk down to Church Farm for a spot of pitch and putt. Please sign up if you want to take part.
In the evening, we will have a campfire on the beach. There will be a BBQ of hot dogs and sausages and the option of soup too.
For those wishing to camp, there is the option to pitch for the night in the boat park. We need children who are camping to have a designated adult and you will need to bring your own equipment.
The bar will be open as well in the evening, so what about a game of darts, how about a pool competition.
Again meet at 9.30 am. This morning, we will love to have some PICO fun with adults and children sailing together. Have some fun pairing up with the youth and have a go sailing.
If sailing is not for you, then Georgie is planning on walking around the harbour to the Sidlesham (maybe a drink at the Crab & Lobster). Meet at 11am at Pagham Yacht Club.
In the afternoon, it will be paddle boarding and kayaking fun plus Shorty and Anna are very happy to get the Wayfarers on the water for the much talked about Prosecco Sail!
The evening will be a night of Bingo and Sue and Keri’s Chilli Nachos. Delicious!
Meet at 9.30am. Today, we plan on getting the ribs and other motor boats on the water and have a day trip to either the Witterings or Arundel. We would love be joined by anyone who would rather drive. Fingers crossed for calm seas and light winds. You will need to make sure you have a picnic and drink packed for this day on the water.
In the evening, there will be a fish and chip supper which we will order from Small Fry so please sign up with your requests. Then as the sun goes down, there will be an outside movie (weather permitting) with the option of buying some popcorn and sweet tuck.
Meet at 9.30 am. Today, we will plan to sail to Bognor/ Felpham for an ice cream on the beach.
In the afternoon, it will be spent boat fishing (ribs and fishing boats) so lets hope we get lucky and catch plenty for the fish supper.
In the evening, it will be the Vice-Commodore who will host a Cheese and Wine evening. This will commence at 7pm.
In the morning, we are joined by Charlie South who will offer coaching to our sailors. In the afternoon, there will be racing and Charlie will be on hand to offer coaching for the Novice Cup and the Regatta Races 1 and 2 if people want any help at the back.
In the morning: Charlie South will present to enhance sailor’s skills with general and specific coaching.
13.30hrs Novice Cup (with assistance from Charlie if required)
14.00hrs Regatta Races 1 &2 (back to back)
In the evening, there will be a disco by Jack and cocktails from Kevin. Again, £4 a cocktail, or 3 for £10! To have a bit of fun we are setting a Beach Casino Theme, so dress up those board shorts with a shirt and tie and throw yourself into the evening!
This morning, there will be fun and games on the water with a water polo match and the Regatta Sailing races 3, 4 and 5.
11.00hrs Regatta Races 3 4 & 5 (again back to back to back unless circumstances dictate otherwise).
In the afternoon, Guy Lawson and Jaan Siddeque have kindly agreed to cook our annual fish supper. We are looking forward to seeing what is caught and what delicious dish they will serve. Price to follow.
We end our sailing week with the annual Sailfish challenge. Last year’s winners get the pleasure of planning the course and I know that Elissa Collins has been working hard creating a fun filled course for us all.
As we wind down to the end of the week, there will be a beach BBQ so bring down your food and we will cook on the beach (hopefully soaking up some beautiful summer sun!).
We are really looking forward to a great sea week. It would be wonderful to see as many faces as possible throwing yourselves into the various activities on offer. If you can help out in anyway, please let Vicky, Sue or Georgie know as we would welcome any support given. In addition, I am sure Paul will want support on the bar as well.
We will be opening Pebbles at lunchtimes (apart from the all day rib event). Please make sure you bring your own lunch or money to buy in Pebbles.
A sign up sheet will be in the club so you can write your name down for the events you wish to be part of.
We will be keeping you updated as the week progresses with cost of food etc but as you know, the club is extremely reasonably priced.
Can we ask that all youth attending have a designated adult present. It will be a busy week and we have plenty to keep us busy so we cannot be responsible for youth not supervised. This is extremely important for the camp.
Please also note that all the water events are weather permitting. We may need to juggle some things around based on the conditions and if awful weather we have other back up options in place.
We would also like to use what is available in the club, so how about a darts match or pool competition. What about sitting with your friends and playing a board game.
Keep an eye on the Pebbles board for additional open hours and fun and games. If you want breakfast, Pebbles will be open at 8am each day.
Finally, lets all remember that everyone taking part is volunteering and given up their time so lets get behind the event and give each other our support. If there are any additional activities that you think you can offer then please let us know and we will be so happy for your support. Likewise, if you have any equipment or knowledge that you wish to share, it will be very gratefully received by us all.
